Our brilliant Consultant and Entrepreneur Renold Tang delivered another well-received seminar for the Small Business Clinic, titled: “Basic Business Taxes and Personal Taxes in the UK” (28th October 2015). Sharing his intensive knowledge as a Fellow Chartered Accountant and extensive experience of a businessman with students and staff at the University of Southampton, Renold discussed a range of critical tax issues for business owners: from ‘tax rates and schemes’ to ‘where to get advice on tax matters’.
With an overall rating of 94%, Seminar 3 was awarded high marks from the audience for “Quality of Presenter”, “Relevant to audience’s need”, “Quality of Venue” and “Would like to attend further seminars”. Responding to the last seminars’ feedback relating to ‘sufficient amount of time’, with many participants calling for a longer seminar, We are taking steps to meet this demand – for example, Renold have stayed on for an extra hour in Seminar 3; plus we will consider extending the length of future seminars.
All in all, we are delighted that our 3-part seminar series have provided the audience with some basic yet powerful knowledge needed to starting a business regarding taxes, national insurance and pension. To the attendees, we thank you for coming and hope that you will spread the word about our service.
All the feedback received from the audience was extremely positive, with comments such as:
• “Very informative and comprehensive”
• “Excellent speaker; Funny and highly informative”
• “Really useful and helpful for me to understand what I should know and how to gain the knowledge if I run a business. Most information is practical…”
